LazyBoy had a lot to say… September 30, 2006

This video is a blog post all by itself.
It, plus the rest of the songs on the CD, is the “music” project brainchild of former Aqua member Soren Rasted, who refers to the genre as Rhythm’n'Speak. The project was created to be part trivia, part comedy, and, as you will see, part social commentary.
The single here, oddly named “Underwear Goes Inside the Pants” debuted at #33 on the charts and was played on MTV repeatedly.
Though this is the original song and lyrics, it is not the original video. It is a YouTube.com upload by a videoblogger named Chris Knight. Wouldn’t you like to know his thoughts?
(Explicit lyric warning for any readers under 18 wishing to use this video…)

Kind of makes an impression, doesn’t it?

Some people might find the humor in Chris Knight’s video, I do, but as I find it important for any man, woman, or child to find balance in thought on real world issues such as terrorism, fast food, and destitution. All I saw was an excellent video clip that lacked depth in structure and personal opinion. I feel this way because nothing was said. For example, does the author of this video honestly feel that obesity in this country is anything less than an epidemic? Does he realize the full destructive force of obesity causing issues? Issues like physical and emotional pain, unethical practice in food service, and apathetic ignorance. To expand this thought, let’s look at cause and effect. Denaturizing of modern tradition is only one in many things that result from being the fattest country in the world. I feel that the impacts of these things are more chaotic than ten terrorist bombings. To illustrate, let me compare bombings and obesity, to the difference between stabbing a man, and burning his crops. Let me ask you, which is most destructive? Then still, we are faced with the one intelligent thought, or concept, presented in Chris’s video, how a person see’s a thing. For example let’s pick apart the issue of legalizing Marijuana. Certain people might think that its a great idea, but have these people ever seen the death in the eyes of a young girl who’s driving shipments across county lines because her ass is no longer worth her high. This illustrates my point, because not everyone see’s things the same way. Therefore, the same things such as power or helping the distressed will not always be what motivate a man, or a woman for that matter. This is why i feel that, at a young age, in this country we are taught to just say no. Oh yeah, never mind the tendency of the stoned to be lazy. I’m sure that many boys and girls grow up to do a lot of good for the world while they are high. Like perfecting perpetual motion, for instance, that would give the world energy that never needed to be replenished. It’s not like our young country needs it or anything. To conclude, this video stinks of ignorance, bad influence, and good intentions.
Wisdom By Kailana
What motivates a man to compare the legalization of marijuana too prescription adds. Chris knight is a pot head. Why would anyone take this video clip serious, when its starts with illegal drug use. Other then the poor beginning, this clip is interesting. The heavy use of graphic pictures as a backdrop, gives his audience a visual image to enhance his thoughts. This clip runs through a battery of issues that are currently plagueing our society. It could have been better. This is where I get annoyed with artists. Why do they always seem to be complaining. Would it not be wiser to offer a solution. Not that I have a solution too offer. There are a great many people out there much smarter then I. Apparently, appathy runs so deep in our society that we are stuck trying to get ahead of our neighbors, rather then tend to our failings. I am a new student too the field of Nursing, this is my attempt at helping society. There are people who may not see it as much of a step in improving our community, I, however, think it’s a perfect place to start. Mr. Knight should stop complaining so much and show the world he’s trying to make a difference.
Wisdom is what comes from experience, to say that anyone’s view is a complaint rather then a cry for help is idiotic, what complaint isnt a cry for correction? By comparing the fact that thousands of people are put in jail for using marijuana but perscription drugs are everywhere we look, is a brash overview of how our society is based on irony. Chris Knights thought on self esteem ,are to say the least, a little blunt, although he does have a good point. We are what we have become. Judging others is no way to deal with our own insecurities, we are only what we have become from the things we have been givin or worked for in our life. To consider yourself a mastermind rather then a simple bum obviously doesnt make you thus in the eyes of another. The only person whos judgments mean something is our own, we are the ones who deal with what we have learned to know as life. To gain this wisdom that we have come to know through our experiences through out life we must suffer, this suffer that we feel is because we are doing exactly what Chris Knight has done, we are looking at the things that we do not agree with so that we might be able to take that to stride, so that we can see others short comings and build a society that corrects these problems. It is impossible to know what must be improved unless we complain about what needs to be fixed, to complain may only mean looking at the ugly in order to succeed.
